Welcome to “Summit,” our new-to-the-fleet off-grid adventure van, built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 and custom-converted by VanSmith in Boulder, Colorado. Built for two, Summit brings together a comfortable place to sleep, a practical kitchen, and the essentials for time away. At 19.5 feet long, it’s a compact option for road trips, campground weekends, and exploring with a little more flexibility.

Inside, you’ll find a bed for two, a two-burner cooktop, a 12V refrigerator, and a kitchen sink with hot water. Cookware, dishes, and everyday kitchen basics are included, so you can settle in and make yourself at home. The Webasto heater takes the chill out of cooler evenings, while a ceiling fan helps keep air moving through the cabin.

Summit’s lithium batteries, solar charging, and 2,000W inverter support camping without electrical hookups, with power use managed around your trip. There’s also an outdoor hot-water shower for rinsing off after a day outside. This is a compact camper without an onboard toilet or indoor shower, so plan your stops and campsites accordingly. There is no rooftop air conditioning or onboard generator.

Rental Policies & What to Expect

• No pets
• 150 miles/day included (tiered rates after that starting at $0.49/mile)
• Van must be returned in reasonably clean condition, with trash and food removed and spills cleaned
• Gray-water tank must be emptied before return
• Diesel fuel must be returned to the same level as pickup
• No smoking or vaping
• No Burning Man or international travel
• Festival and tailgate trips welcome
• Standard pickup: 1pm–4pm (allow 1.5 hours for walkthrough)
• Standard drop-off: 9am–12pm (allow approximately 30 minutes for return walkthrough)
• Delivery may be available — schedule allowing
• No guest parking on site — please plan for a ride during pickup/drop-off

Upon booking, you’ll receive the rental agreement and a detailed orientation guide. At pickup, we’ll walk you through Summit’s systems, including power management, heating, and water, so you can head out feeling comfortable with the van.
