Yakima SkyRise HD Roof Top Tent

Want to travel and not use a trailer? Need a quick night in the state park on a trip down the coast? This is the tent for you! Great article rating it below my description.

Used 3 times. Lots of fun. But family got bigger. Went the pop up route.

The RTT sleeps 3. Could be for solo camper with lots of room or for couples that need some space for bag, water bottle, etc. We had a toddler as our 3rd, so I would say it’s a couples tent. Fly net is great in rain. (Happened to us 2 times).

Has nice pop up internal structure (ribs) and stakes for fly net. Those are placed in pre drilled holes along bottom frame. So set up is about 10 minutes. We hung lights and other items to tent structure. Ladder is attached and telescoping.

Mattress is pretty comfortable and thick. Most of the width is the really comfortable mattress.

Unzip and velcro the top synthetic leather bag; roll the bag up and store with built in strap. Flip the platform out and drop the ladder. Lock it and walk up to the zippered entrance. Unzip window, use stakes to secure the rain fly (windows placed to let sun into tent). All for sides have mesh windows that can be opened. Rain fly fully removes if needed. Let the wind run through the tent.

We bought a car specifically Yakima roof rails, but the bottom has the adapt to any vehicle that can hold the weight of the tent.

Specifics and other Specs can be found in the article below. Water in video is just from me cleaning the outside and clearing some of the debris away from storage. Sorry I do not have photos of bottom with clamps for roof rack or black case. They are in the same good condition as the rest of the tent.
