I'm selling my Freespirit Recreation Adventure 49" GS roof tent. I had a fantastic time traveling all over the country with this tent and it's time to say goodbye – I'd like it to find a good home because even though it's been through a lot, I know it still has many years of adventure left in it. Retailed for $1.5k, included insulated lining was $395, asking $500 for everything OBO.

This is a soft top roof tent with a relatively small footprint. It pops opens with the gas strut assists, and you access it via the included extendable ladder. I mounted it on my Toyota RAV4, a compact SUV. Others mount these tents on trucks or trailers. It comes with a waterproof cover, the extendable ladder, rain fly, a removeable insulated lining for use in winter, and a tool kit. It sleeps one adult very comfortably, and two adults if you're willing to cuddle or sleep head to feet. The foam mattress is incredibly comfortable. I was able to leave my bedding (pillows, blankets) up there and close up the tent with no problem. The rainfly / awning kept the interior of the tent completely dry in even the most vicious rainstorms. I camped in winds up to 40mph with no structural issues. Each of the 4 tent walls has an unzippable window with mosquito netting, which makes for great ventilation and incredible views of the surrounding nature. It is easy and quick for one person to set up and take down, takes less than a minute.

I brought this tent along through 5 years and 100k miles of road trips and camping, so it has plenty of wear, and I wouldn't call it "like new." However, I believe that the wear and tear does not affect its useability or safety. Some of the webbing on the waterproof cover is frayed at the ends. The top of the waterproof cover originally had slots for the straps to be threaded through, but these have come off, however, the straps when buckled are not in any danger of coming off or even sliding around. There is also a stain in one of the storage pockets inside the tent. There are no rips, tears, or holes.
