Custom Toy Hauler Camper

This is a custom-made toy hauler camper.

Specs:

- titled as a 2016 Handmade Utility Trailer with a CWT (empty weight) of 1,800 lbs.
- made from a 2000-ish GMC Jimmy.
- overall tongue to rear length is 16 feet
- interior is a 7-foot long sleeping platform with storage underneath; we used a foam mattress inside and slept 2 adults (tightly), 1 adult + dog + kid, or a couple kids :)
- front platform is 63" x 35.5" (5.25 feet x 3 feet); we hauled 4 bikes plus a storage bin on the front
- 7-pin plug for your vehicle - charges battery and brakes could theoretically be added
- all original rear lights work, reverse included, along with added LED marker lights all around
- has a compartment with labeled fuse box and RV battery for stereo, interior LED lighting, exhaust fan
- stereo with aux input
- includes 4 military style water jugs, tongue lock, jack for side to side leveling
- new battery last winter
- 4-person Pope Overland Expeditions Konza roof top tent. This is lightly used, probably 10 trips. Cover is not damaged and all parts are included.
- 4 - Yakima round cross bars for max support of the tent. And room on one side for an extra bike rack, awning, or other accessory.
- heavy duty motorcycle cradle on front rack (not pictured) - would accommodate a small-medium dirt bike - we used it primarily for bicycles.
- standard OEM Jimmy spare tire

The frame is all steel - this thing is heavy - you will want a solid towing vehicle, as it has a pretty heavy tongue weight and you can really load it up with gear. We towed it with a Kia Sorento to Yellowstone and it did it but didn't love it. A Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia both did the job great. It is slightly top heavy but it tows straight and smooth - we've had it on interstates, mountain passes, and mellow forest roads.

Further upgrades would be easy for someone with auto or building skills. You could really make this thing off-road worthy with the right towing vehicle.
