2006 Lexus GX 470

Testing the waters here on my 2006 Lexus GX470, mildly built. Basically, it’s a mix between Landcruiser and 4runner with great offroad bones. It hasn’t been on crazy trails (mostly camping), but it has been up and down Pole Hill near Estes a few times without a single problem.

Overall good condition, a few scratches in the paint, some dings, a couple tears in the leather and a cracked dash (cracked after the recall period ended). It has almost 237,000 miles after all. Non-smoker, no vaping, and no pets inside.

Runs amazing, always used synthetic fluids. All brake pads and front rotors replaced within the last two years. Front bearings/hubs and CV axles replaced about 2 years ago. Alternator was also replaced two winters ago and the timing belt/water pump were done at 186,xxx miles by previous owner, so it won’t have to be redone anytime soon. 

Build list:
-2-inch spacer lift up front (maintains stock ride quality)
-2-inch OME springs in rear, deleted finicky air suspension (Stock weight rating)
-Rough Country extended shocks in rear
-1.25” wheel spacers in front
-2” wheel spacers in rear
-33” Goodyear Wranglers on OEM 17” 6-spoke 4runner wheels
-2” hitch with wiring harness
-Swingout spare tire carrier (can still tow with it, about $500)
-LED headlight bulbs
-LED Brake light bulbs
-Sony Bluetooth deck, wired correctly (almost $450 invested here)
-Probably more that I’m forgetting…

-Amp and Subwoofer not included, but wiring will remain
-Swingout spare carrier can be removed for discount
-Driver’s seat heater doesn’t work, I made a heated seat cover that will come with the truck for winter
-3rd-row seats intact and in great shape

The only real issue is a leaky exhaust manifold on the passenger side (super common on Toyota/Lexus 4.7 V8s). It ticks under load, but doesn’t affect emissions or performance. Since it’s more of an annoyance than anything, I didn’t bother fixing it. Otherwise, everything works as it should and these are known to last with proper maintenance.

I don’t really want to get rid of it and love driving it, but I don’t take it out to trails often enough to justify keeping a big V8 around. I’m patient so the price is firm, but I may consider a full or partial trade (+cash on your end) for a V6 Rav4.
