I will not respond to automatic "Is this available?" messages, or to anyone who hasn't read the info below, or to anyone who wants to complain about the price / apparently doesn't understand what "OBO" means.***
'99 4Runner in great shape with manual transmission and factory rear differential locker—a hard to find combo that I searched months for.
Clean title in hand.
I'm selling because I have too many vehicles and need to pay off debt and unexpected home expenses from water damage.
I originally purchased this as an off-road adventure vehicle for the mountains and was going to add a platform shelf sleeping system and other camping add-ons, then I got a Tacoma and a Scout camper. I haven't taken this off-roading and have driven it less than 100 miles since purchase.
Before I purchased this 4Runner this summer, I paid Toy Doctor in Denver to do a pre-purchase inspection, which I can provide upon request. The tech said this is one of the "cleanest" 3rd gens they've seen in awhile.
Based on their report, Toy Doctor:
- replaced left and right front upper and lower ball joints
- checked the transfer case for leaks
- replaced the valve cover gaskets and re-sealed the rear cam camps
- adjusted the rear brake shoes
*** Additional maintenance by previous owner: ***
Spark plugs replaced at 175k, along with clutch and steering fluid flushes.
Timing belt, drive belts, thermostat, water pump, tensioner pulleys, fan belts, front CV boots, and fuel pump replaced at 169k.
4x4 and rear e-locker all work.
Custom front grille.
Sunroof works.
ATOTO head unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Antenna doesn't retract.
AC and heat work well. Engine shifts well.
Rear passenger window rolls only about halfway down.
Minimal rust: This has been a western vehicle and the frame is in great condition. The worst rust is at left corner of rear bumper, and a spot next to passenger headlight. There's also a dent in the passenger rear bumper corner.
Comes with 3 keys, owner's manual, roof rails and basket.
$18k OBO. Payment by cashier's check, to be verified in person by local bank.
I'm happy to send more pics or video and provide CarFax upon request.
