Thornberry is a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited — four doors, hardtop, and every piece of gear you need to camp free on Washington's public lands already loaded and ready. You show up, and you drive away ready to find a clearing with a mountain view and sleep there for free. No reservations. No fees. No cell signal, usually — but that's kind of the whole point.
The Rig
The Wrangler Unlimited is the four-door version of the most capable production off-road vehicle ever built. Solid axles, 10" of clearance, basic recovery gear — genuinely capable on the forest roads that lead to the best campsites. Upgraded with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay keep you connected until you don't need to be.

Every rental includes our curated dispersed camping guide — sites we've personally driven to and camped at, with GPS coordinates, road notes, and seasonal access info. More trip tips on the website.
