The Sprinter Inn was designed and built specifically for family travel. As parents of three boys, we understand that traveling with children requires more than just a place to sleep. You need comfortable seating, dependable storage, climate control, room for everyone to settle in, and a setup that does not make every stop feel like a major production.
This 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter AWD camper van seats and sleeps up to five people, making it a great option for family road trips, campground weekends, youth sports travel, national park visits, and memorable vacations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Unlike many camper vans designed primarily for couples, the Sprinter Inn was thoughtfully built to accommodate an actual family.
Built for Family Comfort
The van includes:
* Seating and sleeping accommodations for up to five
* Custom mattresses made by a marine and yacht mattress company
* Swivel front seats for additional living space while parked
* Refrigerator and microwave
* Large pull-out kitchen area
* Interior lighting and charging outlets
* Shore-power connection
* AGM auxiliary battery system
* 2,000-watt inverter with 4,000-watt peak capacity
* Roof-mounted air conditioning
* Remote start
* Blackout window coverings
* Powered side steps for easier entry
* Generous storage for clothing, food, bedding, and family gear
The sleeping and living spaces were planned so that parents and children can travel together without feeling like everyone is constantly climbing over one another.
Professionally Built and Well Insulated
The Sprinter Inn was designed and constructed by the owner of a custom home remodeling and woodworking company.
The van was built using many of the same principles used in a high-quality home, including extensive sound control, insulation, moisture management, and durable custom finishes.
The build includes:
* Sound-deadening materials throughout
* Rock wool and 3M Thinsulate insulation
* Insulated flooring rated approximately R-9
* Interior vapor control
* Custom cabinetry and woodwork
* Durable materials selected for real family use
The insulation package helps the van remain more comfortable during both cold-weather and warm-weather travel. Our own family has used it in temperatures in the teens as well as during warmer summer trips.
Best for Campgrounds and Family Road Trips
The Sprinter Inn is ideal for:
* Family camping trips
* Weekend campground stays
* National and state park travel
* Youth sports tournaments
* Road trips with children
* Visiting relatives without needing multiple hotel rooms
* Families wanting to experience van travel before purchasing or building their own
This van is currently set up primarily for campground travel and highway road trips. A campsite with shore power is strongly recommended, particularly when using the air conditioner, microwave, or other high-demand electrical equipment.
The auxiliary battery system supports lighting, charging, refrigeration, and normal daily use, but the van is not being offered as a full off-grid or extended boondocking vehicle.
Easy and Comfortable to Drive
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter provides a smooth, stable driving experience with excellent visibility and many of the comforts expected from a modern passenger vehicle.
The AWD system provides additional confidence during changing Pacific Northwest road and weather conditions. However, the van must remain on paved roads and maintained campground access roads.
The AWD system does not authorize beach driving, off-roading, mud, sand, trails, forest roads, or unmaintained roads.

Our Goal
Our goal is to give other families the opportunity to enjoy the kind of road trips and camping experiences that our own family has enjoyed.
The Sprinter Inn is not just a place to sleep. It is a comfortable family travel base that allows you to explore during the day, return to a familiar space at night, prepare simple meals, relax together, and make the trip itself part of the experience.
Tell us a little about your family, your planned destination, and the campgrounds you intend to visit when submitting your booking request. We are happy to help make sure the Sprinter Inn is the right fit for your trip.
