Restored Warn Model 8074 Winch

This is the model 8074 Warn winch. They were built in a transition period between the Warn/Belleview winches and the 1974 introduction of the model 8274. The primary difference is the 8074 has no clutch release to freespool the drum like the 8274. This particular winch was a factory option on a AMC Jeep i.e. the Jeep Specialty Equipment tag. I've completely restored the unit. Complete disassembly, cleaned and any warn out parts replaced, such as the brake components. The solenoid pack has been replaced with the Warn brand of Albright style contactor. It currently has a roller fairlead for steel cable but I have a new hawse style fairlead if you intend to run synthetic rope. The winch mount is modern OEM Warn for a late model Jeep Wrangler but can be bolted or welded to your own setup. If you prefer a newer style contactor cover I have a cover with the red W. I added a photo of the winch with the red W contactor cover. That's when I finished the restoration but I went back to the all black cover because it was more period correct.
