The DMV Cruiser is the flagship — Vander's most spacious van, built for groups up to four, long trips, and anyone who refuses to rough it. At 17'9" with a tight turning radius, it drives like a regular vehicle and parks in standard spaces. Interior standing room sets it apart from our other vans.
Based in Alexandria, VA, with handovers at the Huntington Metro, just five metro stops from National Airport (DCA). Shenandoah in 90 minutes. DelFest in Cumberland, 2.5 hours. Philadelphia for a World Cup game, 2.5 hours up I-95. The DMV is your base for wherever the Mid-Atlantic — or the East Coast — takes you.

Kitchen: Single-burner induction cooktop (no propane), 12V compressor fridge with small freezer, full-size sink with electric pump, removable 7-gallon fresh water tank, removable gray water tank. A real kitchen, not a camp kitchen.

Power: 200Ah lithium battery, rooftop solar, alternator charging, shore power hookup, and a 2000W inverter powering two standard AC outlets. Everything stays charged.

Climate: Webasto heating system for genuine four-season comfort. Dual Maxxair fans and screened windows for comfortable airflow in warmer months.

Seating and sleeping: Optional second row seat increases capacity to four passengers. Folds away in camp for a full living and sleeping area.

3) Roadside assistance is required for all reservations. If you prefer to use your own roadside assistance coverage (AAA or equivalent), send us the policy documentation for proof of coverage no later than 7 days before the start of the reservation.
