At Badass Adventure Vans, we operate a small local fleet of campervans, and that experience matters. After several seasons, many guest trips, and plenty of real Alaska miles, we’ve dialed in the campervan experience for road trips in Alaska.
All our vehicles are stocked with ample camping gear, with practical, user-friendly amenities. No deadweight, no forgotten basics. No complicated systems you need a manual to understand. Just a clean, comfortable campervan that makes life on the road feel boundless.
Nanook is easy to drive, requires no daily bed set up/breakdown, has storage under the bed and can be parked in regular parking spots. It gives you the confidence to say yes to the side road, the extra trail and spontaneity you can’t find with traditional RV’s.
Badass Adventure Vans is operated by Full Send Adventures LLC. The first van of our fleet was used by the owner on a personal, 16,000-mile road trip from Alaska to Miami and he learned firsthand what’s necessary on the road. We currently offer four vehicles for rent. See links below.
With several seasons under our belt and many satisfied guests, we look forward to making your trip to Alaska special. Message us your dates and we’ll lock in your reservation.

Exceptional communication and accommodating service. Eric is praised for prompt, helpful communication, offering airport pickup/drop-off, detailed van walkthroughs, and flexibility with schedules (early check-in/late check-out), and often provides additional gear.
Older van with driving quirks. Nanook is an older, noisy van with mechanical quirks like occasional stalling during turns or in reverse, and reports of poor door seals affecting temperature and privacy. Despite this, it's very well-equipped for camping.

What’s nearby
The van with Alaskan plates and gas cans on the roof loomed over Maserati’s and Ferraris of Miami. I felt as out of place as Medusa walking into a Target for a routine grocery run. I suspect people expected the uncle from Christmas Vacation to pop out of the van, looking for a place to dump sewage.
A look of bewilderment fell on people’s faces as I told them I lived in the van. They could not comprehend such a lifestyle choice.
Perhaps their bewilderment stems from blindly following the social norms of a consumerist society filled with social constructs and white-picket fences. Had they ever paused to question what it meant to truly live? Despite their burning curiosities about Alaska, they had never been. I wondered how long that fire inside would dwindle before burning out entirely.
“Most people exist, that is all.” - Oscar Wilde
I am not immune to the winds of society, but as my road trip drew toward a close, a word I had never once questioned before, felt foreign to me: “home”. A somberness overcame me as I thought about returning to a “life” of routine and paychecks.
A naïve and stubborn heart of mine remained back somewhere in the misty mountains of the Yukon. I nearly turned around the way I came, leaving what I have always known.
Enough about my adventure… Here are the keys, what will yours be?

If van is left excessively dirty, a cleaning fee of $150 can be withheld from security deposit. The van is made for adventure, I don't expect perfection, just a reasonable effort. Included is shop vacuum and trash bin. Thank you.
