2020 TAG Boondock 5’wide teardrop by NuCamp

Awesome TAG Boondock Teardrop Camper. Purchased new in November of 2019 and lovingly used and modified into a fantastic setup. We truly hate to sell it, but some medical issues leave us needing just a bit more interior space.

Standard Tag features:
5 foot wide model and in the “Boondock” configuration which means it’s fitted with some ruggedized features (small lift, larger wheels and all terrain tires, diamond plate fenders and tongue box, front storage platform, Yakima roof rack/bars and 100 watt roof mounted solar panel). The cabin has air conditioning, a MaxxFan ventilation fan, electric heater and bluetooth radio along with some nice storage cabinets and flex netting. There is also storage under the bed with about 5 inches of space under the entire bed, this space is accessed by lifting up hatches that are under the mattress pads, through each entry door. There is an entry door on both sides so access in and out of the space is easier for each person. Each of the 3 windows opens and the interior shade/screen combo works great. The Stargazer window in front is awesome for bedtime star views. The rear “kitchen” includes a sink with water from the 12 gallon on board water tank, a two burner propane stove top, and a slider mounted Yeti cooler. There is also a rear mounted remote propane connection under the rear bumper or fire pit or propane grill connection. The teardrop weighs about 1200 lbs, so is towable by many smaller cars and SUVs. In the front storage box you’ll find the propane tank (full) and a fully enclosed battery box. There is enough space for the wheel chocks and leveling blocks as well. The front storage platform has a spot for your generator should you choose to carry one.

Upgrades/Modifications:
We’ve added a 180 degree awning from Overland Vehicle Systems which is a quick 5 minute setup or tear down. We also have the awning walls that turn the space into a large vestibule or weatherproof enclosure. We made some "screen door" inserts for increased ventilation when desired. And we added some nice kitchen wing shades to help with sun and wind in the kitchen. We had a local welding shop add fender bracing from the steps to the fenders for increased strength, and added a Lagun swivel table mount on both sides. They also added a frame mounted rear 2” receiver hitch for bike rack use. We will include a new/unopened trailer cover, but in our ownership it has been stored in the garage 95% of the time. Lastly we upgraded the electric inverter/charger to a Lithium compatible unit but have not yet added a Lithium battery…but it’s ready! I also added a plug-in for external solar panels and two 12 volt plugs at the fenders for plugging in your 12 volt fridge/cooler if desired.
