Lifted on Bilstein 5100s and rolling LT-rated BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrains, this 4th gen 4Runner will get you up a forest road and back out again without drama. With the upgraded suspension it’s just as easy to drive around town. The suspension soaks up bad pavement instead of beating you up, and the 4.0L V6 has enough torque to merge and pass on the interstate without straining. With the tow package, this V6 will easily pull light trailers and campers if needed.

The V6 runs a timing chain, not a belt — no expensive service ever due. That’s a big part of why these routinely see 300k. And this one has spent its whole life in the dry air of Idaho and Eastern Washington, so there’s no rust.
