1997 Lexus LX450 / 80-Series Land Cruiser
Clean Colorado Title | Approx. 200,000 Miles

$13,500 OBO

Selling a 1997 Lexus LX450, the Lexus version of the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series. Runs and drives and has had a substantial amount of mechanical work performed over the years. Selling as a running/driving project for someone who wants to continue improving it.

Powered by the 4.5L Toyota 1FZ-FE inline-6. The vehicle has a replacement engine that was installed at approximately 162k miles, putting roughly 38k miles on the replacement engine since installation.

Recent / previous work includes:

Replacement 1FZ-FE engine
Newer A/C compressor
Newer front shocks
KYB Gas-a-Just rear shocks
Brake pads appear recent with plenty of material
Previous ignition, cooling-system and drivetrain work
Accelerator cable recently adjusted to correct a sticking/high-idle condition
Known Issues
There is currently a hesitation/misfire under moderate to heavier acceleration. Diagnosis has isolated the misfire to cylinder #4. The #4 plug wire has been replaced and the #3/#4 spark plugs were swapped during diagnosis; the misfire remained on cylinder #4. A fuel injector issue is currently suspected.

The brake pads are good, but the brake pedal has an abnormal/spongy feel. A brake-fluid flush/bleed and further evaluation are recommended.

Exterior has age/wear and would benefit from paint/body refinishing if someone wants to restore it cosmetically.

The LX450 starts, runs and drives great. With gentle acceleration from a stop it does not seem to misfire/hesitate.

This is not being represented as a perfect or fully restored truck. Known issues are disclosed, and the price reflects the work it still needs. Great candidate for someone familiar with 80-Series Land Cruisers/LX450s looking for a clean-title truck to improve over time.
