Description
I am selling my 1996 Lexus LX 450 (80 Series Land Cruiser).
I purchased this truck about two years ago with the goal of building one of the cleanest, most tasteful restomod 80 Series builds around. While the project isn't quite 100% complete, it is very close and has been transformed into an exceptionally capable and well-sorted truck. A few items left to do for the interior restoration include a cracked dashboard and damaged center console both of which I have great condition replacements ready to be installed which I will include in the sale.
The build began by having the vehicle thoroughly inspected and mechanically baselined by a reputable Denver shop to ensure it had a solid foundation before any modifications were made. Throughout the build, I made it a priority to address as many preventative maintenance items as possible rather than simply adding aftermarket parts. The goal was to build a truck that is as dependable as it is capable, giving the next owner confidence whether they're driving across town or across mountain passes.
From there, the focus shifted to restoring and refining the exterior. The truck received extensive rust repair, a full repaint, and professionally re-machined OEM wheels wrapped in 35" Falken Wildpeak AT4s to preserve its factory appearance while bringing it back to like-new condition.
Once the restoration work was complete, the truck was outfitted with carefully selected, premium components from some of the most respected names in the Land Cruiser community. Every modification was chosen to improve capability, durability, and usability while maintaining the classic look and feel of the 80 Series.

The result is an LX 450 that is equally comfortable driving around town, or confidently tackling the vast majority of Colorado's off-road trails. It has been built with high-quality parts, thoughtful upgrades, and an emphasis on reliability rather than excess. This is not a hastily modified trail rig—it is a carefully planned build that has been restored, maintained, and upgraded with longevity in mind.
I have invested well over $35,000 into this build between the purchase price, restoration work, preventative maintenance, and high-quality aftermarket components. Like most enthusiast projects, I know I'll never recover every dollar that's been invested.
Unfortunately, life circumstances have changed, and I've decided it's time to let someone else enjoy and finish what has become an incredibly well-built LX 450. I'm simply looking to recoup a portion of my investment and pass the truck on to someone who will appreciate the time, effort, and attention to detail that went into building it.
