There is no working A/C anywhere in this van, front or back. On top of that, the driver's window does not roll all the way down. So the cab does not cool, and it does not fully vent either. It is Florida. We are telling you this as loudly as we know how, because it is the single thing most likely to ruin your trip, and we would rather lose the booking than have you discover it on the road.

This IS Also OUR First Season Renting. You would be one of our very first guests. That is exactly why this is $89 a night. It is a real discount in exchange for real patience - something in our process will probably be clunky, and we would rather you know that now than be annoyed later.

Meet the Classic - a coral and cream 1990 Chevy van, built out by hand in Saint Pete. Hand-built pallet-wood galley, plywood drawer storage under the bed, a macrame hammock strung in the back, a pinboard door, string lighting, hand-picked prints and hand-painted ceiling detail. About as much character as a van can hold.

This is not a modern rig with a badge on the hood. It is a 36-year-old vehicle that someone spent a long time making beautiful.

Sleeping & Living
A folding couch that converts into a bed, with plywood drawer storage underneath. A macrame hammock hangs in the rear. Handmade wood interior with built-in shelving and storage drawers throughout - far more room than you would expect. This is a low-top, so you cannot stand up inside, but it fits in places a high-top will not.

Kitchen
A hand-built pallet-wood galley and bench with a sink and a 5-gallon fresh water tank. Bring a camp stove if you want to cook - there is no built-in stove.

Power
The van has an off-grid battery system for lights and charging, so you are not tied to a hookup.

Where TO Take IT
Gulf Coast beach days, Florida state parks, festivals, long weekends. Fort De Soto and the Keys are easy runs from pickup.
