This left-hand-drive 1977 Land Rover 101 Forward Control was originally delivered to the UK Ministry of Defense and later acquired from a private collection in Poland in July 2018. It was subsequently transformed into a professionally built expedition vehicle featuring a custom aluminum clamshell camper conversion by Latitude Overland of Bristol, England.
Finished in Dovas White and Bahamas Gold Raptor bedliner over brown leather upholstery, the truck blends military durability with modern overland capability and off-grid comfort.
Power comes from a replacement 3.5-liter Rover V8 paired with an LT95 four-speed manual transmission, dual-range transfer case, and vacuum-locking center differential.
Powertrain & Mechanical
The replacement Rover V8 features refurbished dual Stromberg carburetors and was installed during the build. Supporting components include:

WOSP high-output alternator
Silicon ignition leads
Viper electronic ignition coil and distributor
Replaced fuel pump
Power is sent to all four wheels through a reconditioned LT95 gearbox and refreshed locking differential. The clutch and release cylinder were replaced and an aluminum clutch reservoir installed.
The independent chassis has been powder-coated black and fitted with polyurethane bushings.
