Welcome to Geared4Utah! We have spent years building fond memories of adventure and wonder in the outdoors, and now it's your turn. With our Gladiator, you choose the level of outfitting for the rig, from an excellent road trip machine to a fully outfitted backcountry explorer. So we have adapted to how our clients have been using the Gladiator to enjoy the parks, to make it an even better value for you. Are you going to stay in hotels and be a pavement princess? No Problem, the base rate is for you, but if you want, set it up for more. You select the setup and the adventure.
Our goal was to create the perfect vehicle that combines the best components to offer the best balance of capability, safety, and functionality. Imagine yourself cruising the backroads of Utah, visiting many of our National Parks with the top open, wind flowing through the cockpit of this purpose-built, comfortable, and extremely capable Jeep Gladiator! When it comes to renting our equipment, we prioritize your needs. Our pickup and drop-off times are flexible, and we offer airport pick-up and drop-off from Salt Lake City and Provo Airports. Your precious vacation time is important to us, and we can help you plan to maximize your adventure.
When booking the Gladiator, we reach out on all rental requests. We will discuss your destinations, planned routes, and individual experiences and preferences. We assemble the right gear and configure the Gladiator to give you the best experience. We can offer expert advice on routes, fuel stops, points of interest, and destinations. You decide on how much help we provide.

The customer is required to reserve Equipment in advance. As part of the reservation process, a reservation deposit (“Reservation Deposit”) is required. • Reservation deposit (50% of full trip cost) is non-refundable but transferable, see below. • If the renter has paid in full and the booking is canceled more than 14 days prior to the booking start date, a partial refund of 50% of the full rental amount (minus fees) is issued • If canceled and the renter has only paid the reservation deposit, no refund is issued • If canceled less than 14 days prior to booking start date, no refund is issued Reservation Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE but are transferable to another rental for a period of up to one year of original reservation date provided cancellation of reservation is made at least 15 days prior to the check-out date. A reservation canceled less than 15 days prior to the check-out date will result in loss of Reservation Deposit. If you have any questions regarding these terms please contact us.
Host rules
We aim to provide capable gear for your adventuring needs. We ask all our clients to be respectful and know their limits. Our Scout trailers are built for un-improved roads and off-road trails however, off-road travel has an increased risk of vehicle damage and requires extra attention while driving. Please use caution and operate within your abilities. Any damage to the equipment will be wholly your responsibility. Rental Policies:
Smoking: No smoking of any kind is allowed in or around equipment, including but not limited to cigarette and cigar smoking, smokeless tobacco, vaping, e-cigarettes, and marijuana. Any smoke odors present in the equipment will result in loss of damage deposit and additional fees.
Pets: Due to allergy concerns for our customers, no pets are allowed inside the equipment (including both the trailer and tent portions). Any signs of pet activity within the equipment will result in additional fees.
Travel Restrictions: Equipment must remain within the continental U.S.A. Travel to Canada or Mexico is strictly forbidden without prior written authorization. Travel is permitted on improved dirt roads; however, any damage due to rock chips, tree scratches, and other off-road-related damage will be fully deducted from the security deposit. Damageabovef the security deposit will be the responsibility of the renter/ operator.
Speed limits/Taxes/Fees/Tolls: Customer agrees to abide by all federal, state, and local laws governing the use of the equipment, including but not limited to all camping regulations, speed limits (posted or non-posted), and otherwise. The Customer is responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, and tolls incurred while possessing the equipment. All unpaid fees and tolls, including but not limited to campsite fees, tolls, and parking fees, will result in charges to the Customer to cover fees/fines plus an additional $100 administration fee per fee or penalty. Any violation may result in the forfeiture of the entire security deposit.
Breakdowns and Accidents: In the unlikely breakdown or accident, the Customer must contact G4U immediately. G4U will advise Customers on proper procedures based on the specific situation. Failure to contact Geared4Utah could result in the Customer having full responsibility for the cost of all necessary repairs.
Drivers and Passengers: Only approved drivers listed on the Customer Information Form can operate the vehicle towing the equipment. Absolutely no passengers are allowed on or in the equipment when moving.
Load capacities: Customer luggage and travel items can be carried and stored in the equipment. Overloading the equipment in excess of posted load capacity and the vehicle pulling the equipment is never allowed. Nothing is to be stored or carried on top of the tent on the equipment.
Scout tents: The tent shall, at no time, be removed from the trailer portion of the equipment.
Gladiator: The vehicle may not be used for towing.
