This 144 van is two-wheel-drive with traction control and is 19 feet long. In most cases we’ll pick you up at Ted Stevens Airport and have you drop-off 5 minutes away.

Exceptionally comfortable for two people even if you're six feet tall, there is an eight-inch gel foam Full-Sized 60x80x8 inch Queen bed that runs parallel the frame of the truck allowing greater comfort for anyone over six feet tall. There is also running cold water (25-gallons), a separate diesel heater, and a removable butane range. A refrigerator and a high-grade soft cooler are provided.

The super-quiet interior fan has a remote control and can be operated to pull the cool air or push the warm air out. It will close automatically in the event of rain.

Insulated and crafted with local spruce and cottonwood, the interior was built in May of 2021 and offers plenty of space for your bags and outdoor gear. The counter is butcher block hardwood and has There is extensive LED lighting and even an isolated dimmer switch for reading in bed.

The van has an additional 400-watt solar system that meets the needs of most summer trips, so you'll have power when parked, not needing to hook up.

What’s nearby

Guests travel to Denali National Park, Denali State Park, Talkeetna (the van's home), Hatcher Pass, Thompson Pass, Fairbanks, Chena Hot Springs, Seward, Valdez, and Homer.

We are one of the only vendors that allow travel to McCarthy and crossing the Denali Highway with a maximum 35mph speed limit. There's no cell service on those two highways.

When fires, or rutted - pothole conditions exist, we may inform you that it will "NOT" be allowed.

You may use the Alaska Ferry System.

Host rules

We do not allow driving north of Chena Hot Springs just a few miles north of Fairbanks. No travel is allowed to Manley Hotsprings, Circle or Coldfoot. That includes any part of the Dalton Highway-HWY 11, HWY 2 (north of Chena) or HWY 6.

The van must not enter Canada.

When traveling on gravel roads speed is limited to 35mph. Please note that our vans are GPS'd and report your location and speed-driven hourly.

Travel is only allowed on State or Borough maintained roads.

Please leave the van with a full tank of diesel, and remove all the trash and perishables.
