Description
Upgraded to a bigger truck and am going to go for a bigger camp solution to match. This is in great condition as I took good care of it. No mold or mildew, smells, etc. Adult-owned, no kids or pets...
In my opinion, this is one of the best tents for a midsize truck platform (Tacoma, Ranger, Zr2, etc..) It’s a CVT Mt. Shasta Hybrid - The hybrid means it has a hard top, something generally reserved for much more expensive tents that have a larger footprint when folded. Speaking of folding - hybrid also idicates that it folds a full 180 to get the most 'open' sq/ft possible by doubling the folded size and giving you enough room for 2 adults and a kid. Many hard shell or hard shell hybrids are a wedge or partial fold stye that leaves you with only a small percentage of gained space after opening.
Another nice thing about this hybrid style is that you don’t have to deal with the nasty zippers typically found on the covers of the full fold style roof top tents. Being a hard flat top with crossbars means you can mount gear to it as well which is super handy.
One other reason why I bought this particular one is because it is among the top of the top for tent material thickness lending itself to doing quite well in colder camping - making it truly 4 season ready.
For sale is the tent itself, two styles of rain fly (light duty one in the pictures) for super heavy rain or snow and one for drizzles, an annex (a room you can attach under the folded out portion for changing outside or sleeping extra people on the ground under the tent) (not pictured), a spare unopened ladder (exactly like the one pictured), integrated USB lighting tent lighting, and whatever other goodies it came with.
I bought it at an opening event so I got a discount and paid some change over $3000. I’m also throwing in some upgraded bedding for it that was about $150.
I'm also selling (included in list price) my Gen 2/3 Tacoma bed rack bars to hold the tent. These mount the top flat portion of the tent perfectly on plane with a prinsu rack, expanding your rooftop storage to essential 10+ ft for truck jobs like moving 2x4s or costco rugs (ask me how i know) They are made by a company called C4 Fabrication and cost around $450 new, but are not quite in the same condition as the tent. They could use a bit of touch up paint here and there, but you wouldn't notice unless you were looking closely.
If you don't want the bars, we can negotiate them out of the price.
More than happy to have you swing by and check it out. I don't have great pictures of it with the intent to sell, but you can check it out in use on my instagram @skuxx.offroad
