Description
Meet Filipa, the Wanderlust Campervan. Our beloved 1999 VW Eurovan is the perfect companion for exploring California, whether you're winding along the coast or camping under the stars. With Filipa, you're not just renting a campervan; you're embracing a lifestyle of freedom and exploration.
Filipa is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and memorable journey:
-Two Cozy Sleeping Areas with Twin Mattresses: Filipa comfortably sleeps two adults and two kids—making her ideal for family getaways.
-Fully-Equipped Kitchen: Cook your meals on the go with a propane double burner, keep your groceries fresh in the three-way fridge, and clean up easily with the sink and running water. Whether you're brewing your morning coffee or preparing a campfire feast, you'll have everything you need.
-Ample Storage: With plenty of cabinet space, a wardrobe closet, and storage behind the rear seats, you'll have room for all your gear. Bring the essentials and more—Filipa's got you covered.
-Comfort and Convenience: Stay cozy at night with the thermostat-controlled propane furnace, and enjoy the cool comfort of the powerful AC while driving. After a day of adventure, rinse off with the outdoor shower.
-Powerful and Reliable: With a VR6 engine and cruise control, Filipa has plenty of power for your travels. The auxiliary battery will keep the lights, water pumps, and fridge running for days without needing a recharge.
-Optional Extras: Add on a portable propane grill and solar generator for an even more customized adventure.
Please Note:
-We assume you will return the van as clean as you found it, otherwise we will have it clean and charge $70 out of the deposit to have it cleaned.
-Drive no more than 300 miles per day and keep your speed under 75 mph.
-The transmission is a bit clingy when cold, so we recommend warming up the engine for 10 minutes in the morning.
-No off-roading, climbing on the roof, or smoking inside the van.
-Pets are welcome, but you're responsible for any damage or cleaning.
-No festivals.
-Use premium gas, and remember to refill the gas tank before returning. No need to refill the propane tank.
-For water tank filling, grey water emptying. Should you need to fill the water tank: pour water with a hose into the water tank in the back. Should you need to empty the grey sink water tank - easily emptied from the side of the van.
-There is an electrical hookup. The auxiliary battery is charged while driving, and if you want, you can plug it from the van into a regular electrical hook-up.
-You're responsible for any tickets, tolls, or towing fees.
-For mechanical issues, contact roadside assistance and notify us immediately—do not attempt repairs yourself.
-Maintain tire pressure and coolant levels and handle appliances with care. The renter will be responsible for the cost of negligence resulting in mechanical damage or tire damage.
-Out-of-pocket expenses for repairs required and not covered by insurance or roadside assistance will be reimbursed by the owner upon return of the vehicle as long as the owner is made aware prior to such repairs and receipts are provided.
-A GPS is installed for your convenience.
Filipa is more than just a campervan; she's a gateway to unforgettable experiences. Treat her well, and she'll take you on the adventure of a lifetime.
Cheat Sheet on how to use all the features will be included but we recommend you watch this video before renting the van: https://youtu.be/ZXZ4_ND5NF4
