The lower bunk is ideal for kids, while the more spacious upper bunk allows you to sit up so you can relax and read a book in bed. Command Post has five leather reclining captain’s chairs. Since they are independent of each other, you can have one, two or all three in the van. Also, the seats are DOT approved and have the LATCH car seat system on all three rear seats so you and your crew can travel with peace of mind. OK the goods… There is a fully functioning kitchen with a fridge and mini freezer combo. Yes, that’s right, go ahead and throw some ice cubes in that margarita, it’s vacation time! The deep sink has a retractable faucet so you can fit a full-size pan in the sink, making clean up a breeze. The kitchen also includes a microwave, which is relatively rare in camper vans, and an induction cooktop stove that stores away in the galley when you aren’t using it. There’s even a dining table that sets up in about 45 seconds so if the weather doesn’t cooperate the fun doesn’t have to stop, just bring it on inside! Command Post is also equipped with a fully enclosed built-in shower so you can climb in bed squeaky clean after you’ve played hard all day. No more carrying all your toiletries and shower shoes to a dirty campground shower. There’s also an outdoor shower! And Command Post has an electric flush cassette toilet that is stored in the shower while traveling. With a 40-gallon freshwater tank, you can take your crew off grid and not worry about the water situation for a few days! There is ample storage space throughout the van too! You can store your personal items in the built-in headliner above the front seats, in the cabinetry above the kitchen galley, or in the storage units above both sides of the upper bunk. Because there are plenty of hooks located throughout the van you can keep things like backpacks, jackets, etc. off the floor and organized on your trip! There is also a three-foot garage so you can stash any outdoor gear that you may have. A full roof rack allows you to store larger gear like a kayak. Alternatively, take a chair up onto the roof and enjoy the view!
