Important additional rules and incidental fees.
1) Fuel Policy: The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup. A $150 fee will apply if not.
2) Late Return: A $75 per hour late fee will be charged for returns past the agreed-upon time.
3) Toilet Tank: For health reasons, the toilet tank must be emptied by the renter before return. A $75 fee applies if not emptied unless pre-purchased in add-ons.
4) Off-Roading Prohibition:
Off-roading is prohibited. The vehicle is front-wheel drive and has low ground clearance; driving on sand, loose dirt, unmaintained roads, or beaches is not allowed. Any Off-road use incurs a $1,500 fee for wear and tear in addition to repair costs for damages. This vehicle is only suitable for paved roads or hard-packed dirt roads directly leading to campsites. If in doubt, avoid roads where a standard two-wheel-drive car would struggle.
5) Water Tank: Refilling the water tank is not required but appreciated.
6) Mileage: Rentals include 100 miles per day. Additional miles are charged at $0.90 per mile.
7) Cleaning Policy: The vehicle must be returned with trash removed and in good condition.
- For basic cleaning after normal use, a $180 cleaning fee can be pre-selected.
- Excessive dirt, stains, mud, sand, or other issues requiring extended cleaning will incur a $275 fee deducted from the security deposit.
