Description
Up for sale is my cherished 2012 Toyota Tacoma. You can tell just by looking through the pictures we've had a lot of adventures together all over the Rocky Mountain West. I'm sad to see it go. The only reason I'm selling is to pay for some unexpected medical bills. I am currently in Montana, but I will be in Denver most of the month of April to visit my girlfriend, and I'd be happy to drive it down to it's next owner, if there is adequate interest.
This is a really capable truck for everything from shuttling mountain bikes, hauling boats to the river, bringing skiers to the mountain, getting hunters and their rifles into the field, moving lumber and other materials for construction projects, and functioning as a portable and off-road bunkhouse for road trips. It's quite comfortable at 80 mph cruising on Montana Interstates, getting 15-21 mpg while doing it.
There has been lots of recent work done and I will provide a VIN number and what documentation I have upon request. I've owned it for two years and the last 20,000 miles. It had one previous owner, who was a doctor in SLC, who exclusively maintained it at the dealership. So this thing has been well taken care of.
Good:
Clean Title (Lien)
4.0 Liter V6 Engine
Automatic Transmission
4x4 hi and lo w Electronic Locker
Upgraded Heavy Duty Leaf Springs, Coils, and Shocks from Old Man Emu
ARB Bumper
Warn Winch (partially functional)
Gunmetal FJ Cruiser Wheels
New(ish) 33" Nitto All Terrain Tires
Factory Backup camera & "Smart Mirror"
Factory Bluetooth System
Bedlined and Lockable Canopy
Professionally Built and Upholstered Platform and Storage in the 6" Bed
Bad:
There are some dents, scrapes, and dings that would be expected on a Tacoma of its age, that's been used on backroads, construction sites, and with me owning a dog. It is a truck, and it's been used as one. If you're expecting it to be mint and a little "character" is a deal breaker for you, this is not the truck for you.
Cracked Windshield (~$300)
Broken Taillight (~$100)
Paint Peeling on DIY Bumper ($?)
Warn Winch Works but Cable is Currently Stuck in the Winch ($?)
Dent in Skid Plate ($?)
Surface Rust on ARB Bumper ($?)
Rip in the driver's seat ($?)
Some of these issues may be fixed by the time the truck sells, but none of these issues affect the mechanical performance of the truck, they are primarily cosmetic.
I am quite flexible on price. Thanks for looking!
