Description
Gauging interest for my 2012 Cayenne S. Car ADD has struck and I have started a new Q7 build. This car has taken me on many adventures but it does need some TLC and at this point it doesn't make sense for me to put any more effort into it.
You can take a look at the options sheet yourself but here are some of the highlights:
- Pano roof
- Black roof rails
- Burmester sound system (rare and truly something to behold)
- Porsche entry + drive (wasn't a requirement when I was looking but now I wouldn't live without it)
- Headed and ventilated front seats
- Heated rear seats
- Carbon fiber interior package
- White gauge dials
- Porsche crest on front headrests
Mods:
- Secondary cat bypass pipes
- ISUDAR Carplay module. One of the first things I did when I got the car and couldn't live without it. Factory PCM functions normally
- JBL BassPro sub (factory sub died and was recommended this by Colorado Car Audio). Fits in the spare tire well
- Hardwired for radar detector and dashcam. You can choose to use this or it can be easily hidden. (Actual devices not included)
- Blacked out back badges
- Fender liners have been trimmed to accommodate 31.5" tires
Note that pics with A/T tires are for inspiration only :-). The car will come with the factory 21" SportEdition wheels and Continental ExtremeContact tires as seen in the second photo. I'm happy to throw in the black 955 BBS's for free.99
This car is a great example to turn into a luxury off-roader or you can use the factory 21's and keep the car completely stock as it came from the factory.
What it doesn't need:
- Coolant pipes replaced at 107k
- New front + rear brakes (pads, rotors and sensors) less than 1k miles ago
What it needs:
- Post-cat O2 sensor (doesn't affect performance but will need to be replaced in order to pass emissions I believe)
- Front upper control arms, lower control arm bushings (good opportunity to upgrade to Berg/EW control arms :-))
- Intermittent "coolant display defective" error. This happens every couple hundred miles and turns off with a restart. Car gets up to operating temp fine but this likely means the thermostat will need replacing at some point
- I'm getting "intake valve control" (P0077, P2272) and "camshaft position control" (P2092, 2088) codes but haven't had them investigated yet. I have noticed a bit of power loss at the top end
- A couple of exterior dings as expected from a 125k car
I have a stack of service records since 20k miles from the previous owner and all service records under my ownership from the good people at Berg Performance here in Denver.
Please reach out with any questions. I plan on taking more pics of the car with the factory wheels here soon and I'm happy to take any additional photos as requested. Also happy to show the car in person. Thanks!
