Description
2003 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V8 w/ Sunroof. Only 157,627 miles, asking $14,900 OBO. Has well over $15k in upgrades!
Clean title in hand. This is a 4th car to me that I rarely drive and am reluctantly selling to help pay for some needed home repairs and another vehicle I recently purchased brand new from Toyota.
List of mechanical work done under my ownership. I have records of all of this and can share
1. Timing belt and water pump ($875)
2. Bilstein 5100 Lift Kit with Eibach Springs ($1,915)
3. Upper Control Arms ($1,000)
4. Exhaust Manifolds, both sides($3,267)
5.. Magnaflow Catalytic Converter ($545)
6. CV Axles ($1,418)
7. Rear Sway Bar Links ($70)
8. Power Steering Flush ($63)
List of upgrades and modifications
1. Lift kit described above gave the truck about 3 inches more ground clearance. I believe it’s a least 12-13" total ground clearance now.
2. TRD Pro rims, Matte Black with Toyo AT III tires. 17 inch wheels. Have an extra to have a full size spare ($2,616)
4. Apple Carplay/Android Auto Stereo unit with entirely new sound system throughout the car. Includes amplifier and wired for sub-woofer. willing to negotiate in including subwoofer, fits perfect under sleeping platform in back.($2,881)
5. Rearview camera for when you’re in reverse, as well as a microphone near driver for calls on the road.
6. 2 USB charging outlets installed inside center console
7. LED headlights, much better visibility than stock units
8. Custom built sleeping platform
9. WeatherTech Rain Guards on all windows, as well as a wind deflector for sunroof and a windshield guard over the hood. ($490)
This truck runs extremely well and a lower mileage V8 is very hard to find, especially in this sought after green color (imperial jade mica green) as they were only produced on a certain trim level of 2003 4Runners. Just within the last year it has had over $15,300 invested in it between mechanical work and modifications, of which there are pictures of the receipts near the end of the photos. It’s a classic Toyota but now has some modern conveniences to make it an enjoyable daily driver, like Apple Carplay/Android Auto for navigation and the new sound system is very good, probably better than most new cars.
This truck would be a great family SUV and it’s also built out to be a perfect camping rig. With over a foot of ground clearance, full time 4WD, a center locking differential, Toyota DAC (downhill assist), and aggressive Toyo AT III tires, it’s an extremely capable vehicle off road. Unfortunately I never got the chance to take it on any big trips but I’ve taken it through snow up the canyons on the way to ski and it just doesn’t lose traction.
