Description
Unique opportunity to own the next collectible generation of mini Land Cruisers. Super clean 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser Prato 8 seater JDM for sale.
This is the TX model and it has the altimeter, compass, inclinometer in the middle dash. Very nice condition in and out. All original paint as verified by my detail shop who paint meters every panel. No paint work or bondo to be found according to my detailer who has a high tech paint meter.
It has a nice roof rack and ladder as well as the OEM Toyota grill in wraparound style; only offered for 1997.
It has a strong turbo diesel, 1KZ-TE with factory intercooler and lots of power. Underneath the hood it looks like it's been maintained well. Toyota fuel filter, oil filter is always a good sign. I have new Toyota oil and fuel filters. The oil filter is massive! Everything looks clean and neat under the hood but I chose not to have anything detailed under the hood
Clean AZ title and registered in Maricopa county. Right hand drive. 104K verified miles. (168K KMs). In Japan all cars have to pass a strict road inspection called a "Shaken". Not only is it a through inspection, but the mileage is recorded which makes it possible to certify the mileage.
Shares many parts with the 4runners, but this has a boxed frame vs a c channel, so it's stronger. This also has 4 wheel ventilated disc brakes, and it has a lot more headroom than a similar 4Runner. AWD/4X4. They all have the center locker and it engages smoothly; same for low gear, used for heavy off-road.
This is a 95 series, the 2 door is a 90 series; overall they are referred to as 90 series. If you want to check out how capable they are compared to a Hilux e.g. then check out Toyota Prado 90 Series vs Hilux | Hillclimb Challenge #1 on YouTube.
3.0L turbo diesel. 1KZ-TE. Intercooled. The intercooled gives it only 10 more hp on paper and it lowers the head temperature which is why I prefer this Land Cruiser Prado to the Hilux Surf of similar vintage. The fuel milage is around 19MPG around town and you can expect way better with a lighter foot and on the freeway.
The 2 rear seats in the back fold down like a real Land Cruiser. Seat belts for 8.
Ice cold automatic air condition, back up camera, PW, PDL, 2 keys, ABS, airbags, folding power mirrors. 23G fuel tank. 4 wheel disc brakes, vented front and back. External spare tire carrier with lock.
Nice looking, sturdy aluminum roof rack and strong stainless steel ladder mounted on the right swinging rear door.
BF Goodrich All-terrain T/A 265/70-16s.
Private party with no sales tax. Clean AZ title.
No scammers, local sale only in cash or we meet at your bank.
No need to ask if it's available; I'll delete when sold.
