This has been my daily driver for the past year. So I am very familiar with its performance and reliability. It will continue to be my daily until it sells. Shares much of the same chassis with the 3rd gen 4runners, so parts are easy to come by at local parts stores, unlike earlier versions of the JDM Toyota Prado. Rare two door, Land Cruiser Prado with the highly sought after round headlights. Extremely capable off-roader. Fulltime 4x4 with 4hi & 4low. Little to no rust. Non-smokers vehicle, so it is nice and clean. Right-hand drive. Runs and drives great.
This 1KZ-TE Turbo Diesel motor with intercooler is great on this small, lightweight body. Nice and torquey. Way more power than what this same motor produces on a Hiace. She can hold 120kph comfortably, but I like to keep these Japanese vehicles around 110-115kph to prolong the life of the motor. I recently took it on a 3000 mile road trip into Canada with no issues. Averages around 20mpg. Lots of new parts and components. All work done in 2023. Most of the work done by me. Full size spare tire, New aluminum radiator, new radiator hoses, new thermostat, new accessory and fan belts, new AC clutch & pulley, new idler pulley, front and rear engine mounts, Bosch glow plugs, suspension bushings, control arm bushings, new tie rod ends, both inner and outer. Tie rod boot bellows, new CV axles built by CVJ Axles in Colorado. Lower ball joints replaced, transfer case shaft seal replaced, front & rear stabilizer bar links. New Dobinson Coil Springs on front and rear. New Dobinson Shock absorbers both front and rear. New U joints, rebuilt drive shafts. Kilamat sound deadener installed throughout. Maintenance up to date: Transfer case, diff & engine oils replaced. New coolant. Fuel filter replaced. Timing belt was changed a few years ago and wont need to be done for another 50,000 miles. Undercarriage could use a refresh on paint, but I left it in its original state so that you can see that it is in great condition and that there are no cover ups. Rust is very minimal, isolated to expected surface rust around welds, bolts and such. No corrosion. Issues: Cracked windshield. There are various cosmetic scratches in the paint. It burns a little oil. So every month I top it off. Climate control buttons can be finicky. Various interior scratches
