Description
Kitted-out 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser 62-series (Title In-Hand)
**Open to trade for single axle offroad camper**
With just under 140K miles, front & rear Aussie lockers, accessorized front & rear metal bumbers (winch up front and dual swingout with tire & cooler/gas carrier on rear), and custom rock sliders, I recently bought this to be my new camping & overlanding rig. Before buying it, I showed the MASSIVE list of work done by the previous owner to the founder of a Land Cruiser specialty shop in Kamas UT called A-Rusted Development (ARD is ardoffroad.com) and was told the work and apparent condition was impressive and encouraged to make the investment.
Immediately upon receiving the vehicle I took it to ARD for a full inspection and tune-up: it checked out and only needed very minor work beyond a full set of 5 tires ($1650 for tires alone). Recently when calling them for info about possibly selling it, I was told told that “it’s a bad-ass cruiser and I’d be an F’n an idiot to sell it”...BUT, With our first human baby on the way this baby needs a new home!:).
Please find the list of work from the prior owner below, followed by the recent list of work done on my dime. Additionally, the owner of ARD has agreed to meet with or speak to an interested that I have vetted.
Not everyone loves the Rhino liner but those that do, DO! This is perfect for a specific buyer who wants to use this beast appropriately. I LOVE the idea of not needing to worry about scratching, hail, rust, etc. #ToolsnotJewels, though this is a bit of both:)
The truck was previously in an accident and has a salvage title, which is why it’s so affordable. Frankly, this is why I scored a fair deal, which is hard to find these days, and for my intended use I preferred the build, clear maintenance and love that went into it, and the ready to hit the road & trail nature at a price I could actually afford. Drives great, and checked out well by ARD.
Needs a new headliner. I planned to do a shiplap ceiling like you see in cool vans. A hand person could easily do something very cool, or take to an upholstery shop.
Located in Park City, and reasonably willing to drive a bit for sale.
