1988 Toyota 4Runner

1988 Toyota 4Runner DLX 4x4 4 cylinder 2.4l 22RE 5 speed manual

Very clean for its age, only 139k original miles (Carfax report checks out - see attached)

Runs great and gets a consistent 20 mpg in mixed driving. It's been my daily driver and I just took it down to Baja and back with zero issues. 

4wd works perfectly. Manual locking hubs, high and low range.

Recent work done (all within the last 14 months/13k miles) :

- Spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor
- Valve adjustment
- Exhaust from header back, cat converter and o2 sensor
- Coolant, brake, clutch, tansmission, transfer case, differential fluids flush
- Timing chain, guides, tensioner, oil and water pumps, head gasket
- Fuel filter and fuel pump
- Crankcase seal, shifter seal
- Sway bar bushings and end links
- All vacuum hoses replaced
- PCV valve and breather hoses
- Power steering box
- Windshield
- Rear leaf springs (Skyjacker TR20S) + Bilstein shocks all around
- Toyo Open Country ATIII tires (with Discount Tire warranty)
- Door seals

100W solar panel on Yakima roof rack with 93AH deep cycle AGM battery in the trunk, USB and cigarette lighter plugs. Runs a 12V compressor fridge 24/7 with juice to spare to run lights, charge phones, tablets, drone etc

Comes with a sleeping platform with storage drawers underneath for camping. Designed for a 6'4" person to sleep fully stretched out. Rear seats need to be removed to install. 8 bolts. Easy peasy

Southern California and AZ truck, some minor surface rust but frame is solid

Double DIN touch screen stereo with bluetooth/usb/aux and decent Infinity/Alpine speakers

Rear window works good

The bad:

Rear window defroster and rear wiper don't work
Speedo cable is noisy on cold mornings. Needs lubricating or replacing.
Dash is cracked
Some interior plastic trim pieces are cracked and headliner is torn in places (see pics)
Some small dings (bottom of driver door, driver side front quarter panel just above wheel, rear hatch above number plate)
AC doesn't blow very cold
