Description
Our 1973 Toyota Chinook started life with us as a non running 2wd Chinook before we repowered it and converted it to 4wd.
The engine is a 5.3 LM7 controlled by a FiTech ecm. The engine has been completely gone through. Stage 2 truck cam for added torque, upgraded trunion rockers, heavy duty pushrods, upgraded valve springs, new valve stem seals, head gaskets, head studs, oil pump, water pump, timing set, rear main seal, all new gaskets and seals throughout the entire motor.
Transmission:
Fully built 4L60e with all the updates including a heavy duty sunshell and new torque converter.
Axles:
Front is an AAM 9.25” and the rear is a Dana 70 both have 3.73 gears and limited slip differentials.
Suspension:
Front 12” travel FOA coilovers with custom radius style long arms. The rear utilizes factory chinook leaf springs with a spring over axles conversion, to retain that nice smooth ride
