Description
Mt st Helen’s rooftop tent. I’ve had it for a year now, 2nd owner, taken it on 10-15 overnight trips. Fits great on a Tacoma. I love this tent, but it weighs exactly 208 pounds and it’s just getting a bit too heavy for me and my set up. I want to go for something a little more lightweight. It’s truly a great tent I’ve loved this thing. Has a three inch foam mattress, full black out durable tent body material, I’ve been in rain, snow and wind and it’s been perfect. The weight makes it pretty sturdy. I have the ladder and the shoe bags and all the accessories.
Now for the issue, one of the struts went out, there’s definitely places to get replacements but I struggled to find the exact part and got lazy and gave up, but that should be a simple fix, and the tent still works fine with the strut lock on the strut that’s blown. I’m willing to negotiate, but replacement parts should be $20-$30 a piece, so it’s not that big of a set back. Tent is perfect besides that. Haven’t noticed any leaks or weak points. Could use a new weather strip in the next year or so.
The only other problem is a few small tears in the mattress cover. Nothing too concerning.
